Following a residency at Colart in June 2022, a screening was held to showcase a video exploring the nuanced themes of colour and materiality developed during the program. Throughout the residency, my focus was placed on cadmium red - a pigment that has historically carried rich associations across the worlds of art and science. The video, created as a culmination of this exploration, delves into the depth and texture of cadmium red, examining its physical qualities, cultural symbolism, and my own perceptions of the pigment.
